Xiaomi has applied for a sales license in China for their first EV, the Xiaomi SU7 sedan. It revealed some vehicle characteristics, and Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co. Ltd (BAIC) will contract-manufacture the EV. MS11 was the prior codename for the EV.

Xiaomi, a worldwide technology company, has finally introduced its first-ever all-electric car, the SU7, in the foreign market. The sedan was recently unveiled in Beijing, China, at the brand's EV Technology Launch event.

The Xiaomi SU700 will be available in three models: SU7, SU7 Pro, and SU7 Max. The sedan will be available in three exterior paint schemes: Aqua Blue, Mineral Gray, and Verdant Green.

On the outside, the SU7 has a sleek form with an aerodynamic focus. It features teardrop-style LED headlights with integrated DRLs up front, as well as a blanked-off grille and black components around the lower grille and bumper.

The sedan's sloping roof line, up to 20-inch dual-tone alloy wheels with yellow-colored brake callipers, LIDAR sensors on the fender, and flush door handles are all visible from the side. The profile is accentuated at the back by a connected LED taillight system with the Xiaomi emblem in strong letters.

Smart Cabin

The Xiaomi EV Smart Cabin has a "human-centric" interface architecture and includes a 16.1-inch 3K central console, a 56-inch HUD head-up display, a 7.1-inch spinning dashboard, and two seat-back extension mounts that can hold two tablet devices. It is outfitted with the Snapdragon 8295 in-car chip, which has AI computational capacity of up to 30 TOPS, allowing for a truly interactive experience by linking five distinct screens.

The Xiaomi Smart Cabin provides an interactive experience similar to using a tablet, making it easy for users to adapt without needing to learn a new system. The system operates very smoothly, with the vehicle's operating system starting up quickly in just 1.49 seconds after the door is unlocked. Furthermore, it allows for seamless connection between smartphones and the electric vehicle, so that when a phone is brought into the cabin, the car's console automatically displays an icon, allowing easy access to the phone's interface with a single touch.

The operating system in the car seamlessly combines popular applications, including the entire Xiaomi tablet app ecosystem, and can gradually adapt to over 5000 applications. Smartphone apps can be easily added to the car's console, instantly turning them into car-friendly apps. In terms of hardware, the Xiaomi SU7 can connect with over 1000 Xiaomi smart home devices, allowing for easy integration with the car. This enables automatic detection, password-free access, and the ability to set up automated scenarios, creating a strong CarIoT ecosystem. The car's interior also has specific expansion connections, allowing for plug-and-play functionality for a wide range of devices. To meet user needs, the Xiaomi EV fully supports CarPlay, the mounting of iPads and iPad accessories, and applications on the rear extension mount.

The in-car OS combines mainstream applications effortlessly, including the whole Xiaomi tablet application ecosystem, and gradually adapts to over 5000 applications. Smartphone apps may be easily pinned to the car console, instantly changing them into in-car apps. In terms of hardware integration, the Xiaomi SU7 supports over 1000 Xiaomi smart home devices for simple car integration, enabling automatic detection, password-free access, and the ability to set up automation scenarios, resulting in a robust CarIoT ecosystem.
