Infinix Smart 8HD review: a good value for money
The
nfinix Smart series has continuously provided reasonably good smartphones for their price, appealing to purchasers in the entry-level segment. To maintain this great image, the OEM has introduced the Infinix Smart 8HD, which is said to have various novel features in this market. The device is reported to be the first in the segment to include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 90Hz refresh rate display, and a high-resolution 8MP selfie camera.
Do these features genuinely shine in real-world use of the smartphone? In this Infinix Smart 8HD review, I want to find out. Continue reading.
The Design
The Infinix Smart 8 HD is a smartphone that aims to offer a lot of features for a low price. It has a 6.6-inch HD+ display with a punch-hole cutout, a dual rear camera setup, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 5,000mAh battery. It runs on Android 13 with XOS 13 skin on top, and is powered by a Unisoc T606 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
The design of the Infinix Smart 8 HD is quite attractive, with a textured back panel that resists fingerprints and smudges. The phone is light and comfortable to hold, and has a flat edge that provides a good grip. The camera module on the back is inspired by the iPhone, and has a LED ring that can show different notifications. The side-mounted fingerprint scanner is fast and reliable, and the phone also supports face unlock.
The Display
Infinix Smart 8 HD is decent for indoor use, but not very bright or sharp for outdoor visibility. The colours are not very vibrant, and the viewing angles are average. The phone also has a 90Hz refresh rate option, but it does not make much of a difference in the overall smoothness of the UI. The phone also has a Magic Ring feature, which creates a pill-shaped notch around the punch-hole cutout, and shows information like battery status, face unlock animation, and call duration.
The Performance
nfinix Smart 8 HD is not very impressive, as the phone struggles with multitasking and heavy apps. The Unisoc T606 processor is not very powerful, and the phone often lags and stutters in the UI. The phone also has a Virtual RAM feature, which claims to boost the RAM by using the internal storage, but it does not seem to improve the performance much. The phone is not suitable for gaming, as it can barely run casual games without lagging or heating up.
The Camera Photography Infinixmobility
Infinix Smart 8 HD is average at best, as it can only capture decent photos in good lighting conditions. The phone has a 13MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor on the back, and an 8MP selfie camera on the front. The photos taken by the main camera are not very detailed or sharp, and the colours are often washed out or oversaturated. The depth sensor does not do a good job of creating a bokeh effect, and the edge detection is poor. The low-light performance of the camera is also very poor, as the photos are noisy and grainy. The selfie camera is also not very flattering, as it tends to smoothen the skin and distort the colours.
The Battery

Infinix Smart 8 HD is one of its strong points, as it can last for more than a day with moderate usage. The phone has a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 10W charging. The charging speed is not very fast, as it takes around 2.5 hours to fully charge the phone from zero. The phone also has an AI Smart Charge feature, which claims to protect the battery from overcharging and extend its lifespan.
The Infinix Smart 8 HD is a smartphone that tries to offer a lot of features for a low price, but fails to deliver a satisfactory performance. The phone has a decent design and battery life and great design and look you will not feel that i have spend only 6299, but the, performance, is slow below average. The phone is not suitable for users who want a smooth and fast experience, If i comment on camera its good at compared to his price because i mean in this price range i cannot expect 50k smartphone camera . While spending on this you will not regrate
